Our Story

​

Our journey began in 1956, when Art Deluca founded Art's Laundry with a vision of providing dependable laundry services to local communities. Art believed that success wasn't measured solely by the equipment he installed, but by the relationships he built with his customers. Alongside his wife, Mary Lou Deluca, Art became well known for his dedication to both his customers and the San Diego community. Together, they actively supported numerous local charitable organizations, including the Diocese of St.

Didacus, laying the foundation for the company values that continue to guide us today.

In 2001, Art's son, Mark Deluca, a graduate of the University of San Diego, assumed leadership of the company. Sharing his father's passion for customer service and innovation, Mark expanded Art's Washers & Dryers beyond San Diego County into Palm Springs, San Bernardino, and El Centro, while maintaining the personalized service that had become the company's hallmark.

Outside of work, Mark remained deeply involved in his community alongside his wife, Karen Deluca, through St. Didacus Church. He also enjoyed restoring classic automobiles, participating in the Goodguys Car Club, traveling, and spending time hunting and fishing with his father.

Following Mark's unexpected passing in 2016, Karen Deluca, who had already played an integral role in the company's operations, assumed leadership of Art's Washers & Dryers. Under Karen's guidance, the company has continued to grow while remaining true to the principles established by Art over six decades ago: integrity, reliability, and exceptional customer service.
